Not 100% sure - but looks like cabbage worm to me... see any white butterflies flitting around lately?

I'll pay attention, ashort... I haven't, though, yet... thanks... any suggestions of how to kill them organically?

I don't know whether you got your bug issue under control, but for your problems i would use DE. Diatomaceous Earth. You can get it at Southern States but Lowes or Home DEpot don't carry it. A farming center is the better bet. Also you can get a duster, it is a devise with a log snout that puffs it out like smoke. I got mine on line as well as great price on DE from Groundworks.com. Cost more to ship that the product! But for killing off worms or caterpillars ESPECIALLY when there are no blooms with bees buzzing I would cover the plant. BYE BYE pesky critters!!!
