Hey! Mid-south gardeners! In here!
I just want to give you all a heads up. On Monday, May 2 there will be a new topic called "May in the Middle South Garden".
Now, last time the post was a little light on pictures! This time, I'm giving you all some notice. Get those cameras and video recorders out! We, your fellow mid-south gardeners, want to see what you've got growing in your SFG.
I need your help here folks. Please post what you can on Monday. K?
BTW, you don't have to be in the Middle South to post pictures here. We just want you all posting, getting to know each other, and showing off your SFGs.

I live in Northern KY, am I in the mid-south? I am not sure where I am really region wise, except I am in the Ohio Vally in the almanac.... which does not have a section on here....

You are in the Upper South, but you are more than welcome to post your pictures here or in any other regional forum. The boundaries around here are very porous. We just want folks posting and getting to know one another. It doesn't really matter where you do it.
I post all over the place.

Thanks for the heads up. Just in time for the Broccoli harvest. I should be able to indulge a few pics.

I don't think it's the coffee - I think it's the Mel's Mix.

WOW -- WTG, Buttaflie!!
LOL at the gardening banter ~ you guys are a hoot ;-) Would love to see some updated photos; bet your SFGs have really taken off by now. How's everyone else doing?
I took up my son's Butterfly SFHG this spring and kept one board for a souvenir to take with us when we move from the Deep South (central FL) to the Lower/Mid-South (Carolinas): http://budurl.com/MarkBHG Mark helped build his own gourmet herb garden back in 2009 and it's been through a few transformations since then, but the box is way too weathered to transplant across state lines (bottom's completely disintegrated!)
As I mentioned to Buttaflie in another post, we're looking at the RTP area near Holly Springs and the nuclear plant. If anyone can recommend garden-friendly neighborhoods not too far out from civilization, I'd be much obliged! Right now we're living in a restricted community and I've been community gardening, but would really like to have my own SFG right outside the kitchen door!!
