more peat
If I can't get enough vermiculite can I add more peat or compost?
Could I use perlite?
I read somewhere about using rock wool.

Re: more peat
Hi,
When in doubt, add compost. It has the nutrients that plants need.
Perlite will work. I've heard that it tends to float to the top.
Rock wool pellets were discussed recently in a thread in the Europe forum. They are used in hydroponics. That is the first I have heard of them. Hopefully someone else has some experience to share.
