OK, so I have found 3 cucumber beetles in my garden and killed them myself. Luckily they are pretty slow movers. However, even though I have steeled myself, I have not seen any damage to speak of. My squashes all look great and some of my leaves have holes in them, but very minor. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop...

Three won't cause much damage, but you are wise to be on the outlook for more. I've found about a dozen total on cukes and squashes and zapped them with Neem oil -- I so much DO NOT want to handle creepy crawlies, even with gloves on. The other one I'm findng is stink bugs, and I think they do worse damage than cuke beetles, at least in small numbers. Again, Neem oil to the rescue.
