What a difference!
This is a spin off of another thread comparing garlic in the ground vs in Mel's mix, and here's mine, but with broccoli.
I bought & planted 10 broccoli plants about the first week of May. 8 of them went into my boxes and 2 of them went into the ground b/c I ran out of space. A couple days ago I made some room and decided to transplant those 2 into the boxes. I took a comparison picture of one of them next to one of those in the box. I can't believe the difference, in both size & color! And the soil in the ground has been amended over the years, but clearly the difference is night and day as to the quality of the soil.
I took the first pic while it was still in the ground, outside the box. I used the ruler just for a comparison, not to actually measure it.
The second pic is of the broccoli in my box.
This last pic is of the two, side by side in the box. These were bought together and planted at the same time.

What a difference!
Yup! That is the difference I see with my SFG and my friend's garden. She is amazed and now want to try SFG.
