The Dinosaurs are running wild!
The Dinosaur Kale has gone wild this year! In this bed there are 3 Lacinato Kale plants, planted one per square, and behind them are 6 Bright Lights Swiss Chard plants. But, the kale plants have each sprouted multiple shoots from from the main stem, and each of those shoots have sprouted additional shoots. I have never had kale grow like it has this year, and there is no way that two old people can eat that much kale.

Those are lovely! I wonder if you put some housing around them in some manner they could survive the winter?
My front yard Dino kale, now 3+ years old, are taller than I am. However, as they have gotten taller, the leaves have gotten smaller and harder to maintain. Eventually I will need to reboot them.
One of the tastiest, and easiest uses for kale is kale chips. But you probably already know all about that.

Wouldn't be worth the effort with our sub-zero temps in January and February. The Kale is hardy enough to last well into December before it freezes, but then we wait until next spring to get some fresh Kale.

Yes, we frequently make Air Fryer Kale Chips. They are delicious and a great snack food.
