what to do with cherry tomatoes that fell off vine
Season is about over and lots of cherry tomatoes have fallen off the vine and are lying on the ground, largely split open or disintegrating. Do I just leave them there, mix them into the soil or should I remove them?
Much appreciated... Steve

If the tomatoes are on the soil of the raised beds, it is best to remove them and compost them - otherwise they will all sprout next spring and you'll be pulling a lot of volunteer tomatoes. If they land on the ground outside the beds, they can be either picked up, or left for the birds, etc., to feed on.

much appreciated - that is what I thought. Overall, very happy with 1st year SFG and more than enough produce. Looking forward to next year and I appreciate all the help everyone on this forum has been.
