Re: TD - A Journey Through Prostate Cancer
I am no artist but at school I did get 10 out of ten for a pencil drawing of some insect that had fours wings and a segmented body and I forget what it was called but I can still visualize it.
I like your paintings TD, I wonder if I will have time to have a go when I get settled later this year.
Take care, TD, I know you are doing your best to look after yourself and keep upbeat. We are all here with you.

Now it should be maintenance time? Unless you put in for some longer legs.

TD Congrats on all counts! Of your paintings, I must say I find the trees from your 2nd storey window my favourite. And I am in Awe of your Track Record!

Re: TD - A Journey Through Prostate Cancer
My latest cancer therapy was a twenty minute whimsical watercolour painting using three colours ... Yellow Ochre, Primary Red Cadmium and Ultramarine Blue. I made watery pools of each colour on the pallet. Then I loaded a cheap dollar store regular 2 inch brush with each colour and created very wet pools on the paper. By picking up the paper and moving it around the pools intermixed where they met. The same three colours were mixed in the pallet to create the brown for the tree trunks and branches which were painted with a #12 round watercolour brush. A mixture of the yellow and blue was washed along the bottom with that same brush. Using the dollar store brush. I also flicked some spots of paint onto the paper. An interesting and quick experiment in colours and technique. Anyone can do this!

Re: TD - A Journey Through Prostate Cancer
Mrs TD has been persuading me to try my hand at acrylic painting. As part of my PC therapy, I took up the challenge with this small 5"x7" painting. I found a photograph taken of a shed on the property of a friend of ours in New Carlisle in the Gaspe Peninsula of Quebec. The photo taken in 2003 was used as the subject for the painting.
As well I now have a personal trainer who comes to our house to help me we with a strength training program. I need this to manage the side effects of hormone therapy.
