I can see both the original and the one in your reply, CN....

Re: Photo Op?
Not bad! I'm having the same problem. My SFG bed and Salad Bar are just starting to show signs of life. This event is going on until the 4th of July. Maybe by then we'll have something to show off.
Re: Photo Op?
TD, I notice a couple of significant changes. The little green house is missing and it looks like you made a tidy frame for the straw bale area. Where is the green house? In the photo, it appears to still be in good condition. I love lilac.
Re: Photo Op?
Did a walk-around tour of the gardens yesterday, and made a short video of them. The beds are at their peak right now, and really producing a lot of vegetables. Learning a new video editor - let me know how it looks.

Re: Photo Op?
Nice job, OG and great-looking gardens. Think I'll grab the camera and take a little tour of my own, but I'm a few weeks behind you and not doing nearly as well.
Re: Photo Op?
Okay, it's not quite ready, thanks to constant interruptions , but here's my balcony garden, sorta "before & during."
I had containers that were way too small, no way to water anything except by schlepping it out from the kitchen, and the weather was hotter than it is now (believe it or not ).
Now I have everything in larger containers, many of them elevated, and the whole thing on a timed watering system, including the birdbath.
Here's the other side:
Zucchini, lemon balm, and still-not-happy artichoke. Weeds off to the left. Tomato off to the right.

Re: Photo Op?
Is the "weed" bed from the bird seed? I feed birds during the winter and had to think of where to set it so that the seed spill wouldn't outgrow the rest of the garden.
Re: Photo Op?
Yup, plus volunteers from the compost heap. Bob has an awesome garden from nothing but watering birdseed leftovers -- and the birds love it, too.sanderson wrote:Is the "weed" bed from the bird seed?
