SFG Journey:Eggplant and heat
This is the first year I planted Listada De Gandia Eggplant in the garden. I observed the fruit turned white or yellow when the temps reach exceeded 90's degrees with the heat index in High 90's or over 100's degrees. We started hitting 90's the first week in June. I didn't know if I could eat them at this stage. I had lost the ID tag and didn't know what was growing until the temp drop into the eighties. Now we are in the 80's and they are producing purple with white stripe fruit.
