We are just about to float away here in Northwest Indiana.  After over 20 inches of snow in about 10 days time, our temps were in the 60s yesterday and today and we have gotten 4 inches of rain in the last day and a half.  Roads all over are closed due to flooding.  Only a little bit in the basement.

But on a happy note, I received my seeds today!

I have several seeds saved from previous years, too, but love to get some new ones.  It's seed planting time.

For sure, BTW in case there's any doubt, I was exaggerating 20  inches in 10 days.   Very Happy

Kate, we are floating away here too!  I love love love King of the North peppers...they really do well here, you will be happy with them!

When are you starting seeds?  I am a couple weeks out for what I’m growing...

I'm hoping to start the green onions, shallots and parsley this weekend.  We have company, though, so we'll see.  I normally do broccoli and cabbage now, too, but I don't think I have room for them and they just don't do great for me.  I have to wait 3 or 4 weeks to start tomatoes, basil and oregano.  I think I did King of the North peppers before and they didn't do well, but it was a cool summer.  Hoping for a great tomato and pepper year.

I too have to wait for my beloved hotties....I grow King of the North and Big Red with great results.  A lot depends on pollination, too.  Sweet Banana is very prolific and dependable, and I grow Early Jalapeño and man does it produce!

I had 2 plants last summer, and I still have 4 baggies of frozen jalapeños in my freezer!  Only putting one in this year...and man, are they hot!

I grew a Mini Mix last yeat, thinking they would grow like the peppers in the grocery that are those little super sweet pointy ones.  They were OK...I need to give them a second try.  The plants are small.  Very petite.  A couple of them got dug up by varmints.  Not super productive...jury is out.  They were tasty though...
