Price Gouging or False Advertising?
As a senior on a fixed income the only way I can save is to watch food prices.
I use the no-name evaporated milk quite a lot and buy the no-name from No Frills. If I have to I buy the Pacific brand name from the nearest supermarket I pay the price there that is higher but saves the bus journey and the time.
The No Frills has a locked in price of one dollar per can. The Pac prices used to be four for $5, Then the Pac price went to three for $5.
Yesterday the price was on special at $1.99 each with a tag saying reduced from $2.99 each. As they have never sold it at $2.99 each how can they say reduced from that price?

Bait and switch. Get you in with the ad, and they don’t have any more, or whatever...I agree, false advertisement, since it was never that price.
