Re: June Avatar: Inside the Box
Okay then, I'll use the same box I used last year. This is my first ANSFG box, with the carrot I just picked from it. YUMMY! Sweet and crisp! My poor garden is trying so hard to pick up my slack. I'm really starting to feel guilty.sanderson wrote:We are using the same June avatar theme that we did last year. "Inside the Box"

It's not really that big. I cropped it and put it in the other pic, but it was still big for me -- about 4" and I don't plant long varieties, so it's probably big for its breed.Scorpio Rising wrote: That is a big carrot! Love it!

I wondered how carrots with such short tops could produce a carrot that big.countrynaturals wrote:It's not really that big. I LOVE LOVE LOVE radishes....they are so yummy, and it’s lovely! What varieties did you plant?

French Breakfast, Red Planet, White Icicle, and turnips in the middle square, but they didn't come up.Scorpio Rising wrote:I LOVE LOVE LOVE radishes....they are so yummy, and it’s lovely! What varieties did you plant?
Re: June Avatar: Inside the Box
Nice! I forgot I had carrots in there last year. My carrots failed in the Salad Bar. When the radishes are gone, I'll plant more carrots here. For some reason, the rollies and slugs don't find them in this bed.countrynaturals wrote:Okay then, I'll use the same box I used last year. Thanks, Scorpio. There's another radish waiting out there for Hubby's breakfast, too.Scorpio Rising wrote:I like it!
