Re: Northern & Central Midwest: December Dreaming!
I need to cover up my garlic again with leaf/straw mulch. The warm weather got them excited to grow, about 5 inches tall... they don't know they are about to get hit with freezing temps very soon.. my babies! Keep my fingers crossed and it's good the plants are pretty tough.

Mine are up, too, LM, I would not have known to cover them! Thanks!

Re: Northern & Central Midwest: December Dreaming!
Although it is still warmer than usual here, that only means that we are above 0 instead of below 0. Everything is covered in snow and peacefully hibernating until . The latest big storm skimmed to the south of us, so no new snow for at least a few more days. Not much else happening here. I am trying not to bury myself in my seed catalogs and use the seeds I already have! Resistance is futile! It is not working! GIVE ME SEEDS!!!

I'm the same way, GG. I told myself that I have everything I need already, I don't need any new seeds! But then the catalogs started coming!
