Virtual Flyovers - Georgia (Brooks, Atlanta, Buford)
This one is for yolos (Brooks GA) and AtlantaMarie (Buford GA). The flight begins at GA62 Cedar Ridge - Griffon airport (south-east of Brooks), goes over KFFC Peachtree City-Falcon airport, then north to cross KATL Hartsfield- Jackson Atlanta International, detours from the planned route to get close to Atlanta, continues north-east to Sugar Hill / Buford, and ends at KGVL Gilmer Memorial Airport.
The map is shown below with the planned route shown with a black line.

Thanks TD. A lot of agricultural land between Griffin, Brooks and Peachtree City. I did not recognize anything other than Falcon Field. But as you got closer to Atlanta, I started recognizing landmarks such as the Atlanta Fulton County Stadium (home of the Atlanta Braves) and the Georgia Dome (home of the Atlanta Falcons) and the gold dome on the capital building.

I am so amazed at how much room folks have in other states. I don't mean the greater Atlanta area, but the rest of the land. A house here, house there, a few over here with acreage all around. Are there really a lot of stone fruit trees as portrayed in the flyover. There has to be well water available for houses to be so scattered. Thank you TD.

I don't know anything about stone fruit. But as far as the large pieces of land - this is right on the edge of the farming country. When I first moved to Fayetteville, there was no public water/sewer system outside of the immediate city. We all had water wells and septic tanks. The water system has made it out this far now but we all still have septic tanks for the sewer. Most people who live out in this area on the larger tracks of land, still have wells for a water source. Of course, in the subdivisions closer to Fayetteville and Peachtree City, all those folks have water and sewer. Also, because of the water system, when I first moved here 30 some years ago, you could not build outside the city unless it was built on at least 5 acres. The subdivision I live in now, all the lots are at least 5 acres and some are as large as 12 acres.

Thanks, TD. I didn't realize we had so much ag land either... Nice flyby. And much safer doing it virtually!!
