something is eating my strawberries
I have four squares of straberries and every time one begins to ripen (and I get excited), it disappears!
do i need to build something as protection, and if so what am I most likely protecting against? I live in a neighborhood with a privacy fence all around my backyard and garden, making me think that birds could be the culprit????
Also, I am pruning runners, but should I be popping off the flowers that bloom as well?
Thank you for your help!
Blessed growing!

Birds love strawberries. You should try covering them with bird mesh to see if this helps.

Could be ants
I thought birds were eating mine but I looked closely one days and saw ants going to town. I put down diatomaceous earth yesterday and hope I have solved that issue for the near term.

Chipmunks have been making mine disappear before I get to pick them. They even eat the green ones, although they have been letting them ripen a bit just to tease me lately before they eat them.
