Before & After - Got two beds cleaned out
This weekend I got busy and cleaned out my two 4x4 beds. I have a terrible habit of leaving them all winter and spring to nature's devices. I had to break out the big shovel and hoe, but I got it done! I brought home 4 kinds of compost yesterday, and will add it to the beds this week, just in time for the summer garden.

Re: Before & After - Got two beds cleaned out
That 2nd bed looks like it was not a lot of fun! But, now the fun part of amending and planting..
Re: Before & After - Got two beds cleaned out
Those look like my beds before I cleaned them out! I had a rough fall and didn't get them cleaned out. It also kept cats from filling them with their poo during the winter. Welcome to the forum Aspen 71!

I love seeing the beds appear! Good work. And yeah, I have let/had that happen too....
What are you planning to plant?

Wow! Nice job! Was it easy to weed them due to the Mels Mix being so loose?

Good job, Aspen. It looks great! And, yeah, most of my beds still look like that too.
Re: Before & After - Got two beds cleaned out
Lol, you had quite the grass garden going there. Man, grass is worse than weeds, isn't it?! Thankfully, it's a lot easier to take care of in the MM than in most soil. Can't wait to see what you're planting
