sanderson wrote:Lowes? I was kind of serious about getting a couple clean toes with lids for your vehicle. Last summer I kept a roll of garbage bags in the car in case I ran across something compostable. You know, that banana peel someone in front of you throws out the window? Now that I have a brand new car, I plan on buying 2 totes and a roll of 33 gallon tough garbage bags for the trunk. Even if its just a 6-pack of flowers, it will keep the car clean.

A number of years ago at Lowes, I picked up a 6 x6 foot plastic cover on one side and soft material on the other.
It fold very nicely, and cleans up beautifully. I use it in the back of my (wife's) Toyota (venza wagon).
We can place plants, dripping stuff, etc on the plastic side and it will clean up.
The 6 x6 size is a perfect size for auto's.
I also completely coat the vehicle with mucho covers before hauling horse manure, etc.
This auto is all we have so I need to make do, I just try to do things like this when she's out playing cards somewhere...

Bumping for new members,
Locating new beds near trees or shrubs, or in areas with quack grass and other noxious weeds, even durable weed fabric will not keep out their roots. Consider elevating the beds off the ground. It doesn't take a large air space to work, even a couple of inches will work under most circumstances.
