Liability Insurance info?
Hello everyone, we live on a small farm, and would like to involve our neighborhood/community in SFG. We run a small therapeutic riding center off the grounds that has its own liability insurance for its activities. We have the R.S. liability sign from our state that protects us. I understand there is a similar statement for farm activities. We are looking for premises insurance, this is a bit past homeowners' liability. Does anyone have experience with this or connections with someone who may know? We've been in touch with 3 separate insurance entities, none of whom return phone calls... Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I do not have any particular knowledge, but, when you call to get a quote, or just to speak to a live person, try not to tell the secretary exactly what you want, insurance, but not liability ins. Sometimes the word does not get passed on. Here is a link, they may not be what you are looking for, but should be able to direct you.

Re: Liability Insurance info?
My husband has been in the ins. business over 20 years. Said it would be very difficult to find premises only coverage as it typically is included in a farm package.
If you want more info or referral in your state please feel free to pm me and I'll pass it along to Rick.

Re: Liability Insurance info?
I was curious about your situation, and Googled "liability insurance for community gardens" and found this:
insurance considerations
My community garden, at a local church, eliminated the gardens.
I would check (i.e. email) with your state Department of Insurance.

Is setting up a community garden possible on land that is not privately owned on local or state government land .
