Insect eggs or bird poo on Kale?
Hi,
Can anyone tell if this is some sort of insect eggs, or a little delivery from a passing bird
? This was on a few Kale leaves...
This one definitely looks like eggs to me...

But this one is a lot bigger and I'm not so sure...

Any thoughts??

Well, not to gross you out, but some larvae do cover themselves in excrement as a camouflage. Best way to figure it out is to get a small stick and carefully poke it to see what it is.

Cabbage worm poo. Look for yellowish eggs on the underside of leaves.

looks like cabbage worm poo...they are light green in color and velvety soft. Poop falls down, so look above the poop, and you should find your culprit as long as it's "fresh". If not they seem to like to hang out on the fold of the stems. They eat a LOT, so get them quick!!

Thank you so much everybody! I don't know why I didn't associate Cabbage worms with Kale. Upon further review, I found a teeny tiny worm on a leaf, as well as some signs of ther nibbling. I hope they enjoy their snacks now, because when I get home from work today IT'S ON!!!
