what are these mystery plants in my SFG?
Can anyone tell me what these plants are? The first picture shows a plant growing in what is supposed to be my cilantro square. I tried to grow cilantro with seeds, and nothing came up except this plant. It didn't look like a typical weed, so I let it grow.
The 2nd plant is the one in the middle with 3 leaves. It's supposed to be snap peas. Is this what snap peas look like when they first come up? Or is it a weed?
Thanks for your help!

The first one looks like a type of green - perhaps Mustard. It looks nothing like my cilantro. The bottom one does appear to be weeds like I get in my garden.

The first plant almost looks like chard, without all the stalk, so maybe a beet variety?
The bottom ones don't look like my peas did when they came up. Pea seeds are big, and the seedling is robust, and large.

I think my sunflower plant can take me in a fair fight...it's taller than me, and it keeps giving me dirty looks.

Bottom one is definitely weeds not peas. The top look similar to the Swiss chard I buy at the store do you plant any green near that square? My thinking is that the seed traveled to a new spot when watered.

Oh also, in your second pic - the things to the left and right definitely look like baby weeds...but that middle plant could possibly be a tomato seedling, or even a pepper seedling. A better/clearer closeup might help, but cotyledons (seed leaves) are notoriously hard to identify.
Also, the more I think about the first pic, the more it could be a beet variety (including chard). IIRC, their seeds float pretty well, reinforcing mschaef's idea that it may have traveled during watering.

I think the one in the middle on the bottom picture might be a maple (from those helicopter seeds)
Hard to tell from the picture though.

with drixnot,
Oh, those? Only the bane of my SFG existence!
Those are maple seedlings. The area in my photo is less than one of my squares, and look how many of 'em there are. Sometimes I think I should give up regular gardening, and just grow sugar maples!
(The weird circles are coins to judge size--so much for that; lousy cellphone camera!)
