Planting schedule?
Okay... I haven't started my SFG yet, and am curious about what things I'll be able to plant if I build it in the next week or so.
This is what I've found so far: http://ccmgatx.org/Plants/Vegetables.asp
Any thoughts, additions, changes, etc for those in my general area?

Re: Planting schedule?
Hey Mike,
That link to the CC Master Gardeners list is the very one I would have sent you for reference. My experience is that it is pretty reliable. To simplify the dates I plant cool weather crops on Valentine's Day (or as close to it as I can get weather permitting) and warm weather (summer) crops on April Fool's Day. ... Although this year I'll be trying sweet potatoes for the first time and they don't go in the ground until May so I need a holiday to remember them by... maybe Cinco de Mayo.
What did you decide to do about the rabbits? About 3 hours after you left Saturday I saw two running running across the street a few houses down. They haven't found my SFG yet but I hear that a neighbors conventional row garden has been visited by them.

Re: Planting schedule?
Thanks... still haven't made a decision. I know what I'd like to do, but time/money isn't with me for that. So now it's trying to figure out a compromise.
Re: Planting schedule?
Tim - a friend has a Cinco de Derby party every year for both Cinco de Mayo and the Derby. We get drunk on margaritas instead of mint juleps. But it's always a Saturday in early May.

An easy May day could be...
Mothers Day? Well maybe the day before if you spend Mothers day otherwise taking care of a Mom... My son and I made me another garden this mothers day just gone -

I found this on another thread
http://littlehouseinthesuburbs.com/2009/01/free-download-2009-spring-garden.html
I think it is very cool and can see me adding things to it often to suit my own tastes in what I like to plant.
