Inoculating new beds? Empty Inoculating new beds?

I've just finished setting up four new 4x4 boxes with various versions of MM, and I'm wondering how much 'life' a good bed needs. I've got a bin of half-done compost just teeming with worms and bugs, whereas the new beds are bug and worm free. I'm definitely adding as many earthworms as I can dig out, but are any of those other beasties or microbes useful to add? Should I strain out some of the more finished compost from my pile and add it in before planting, or just add worms and get going?
