Planning ahead... carrots after potatoes?
New here and I tried to search this topic, but didn't find the answer I'm looking for. I'm planting red potatoes in a old rubbermaid container that I drilled holes in the bottom of. Thinking ahead I was hoping maybe I could plant a fall carrot harvest in the box after I've removed the potatoes since the box will be more than deep enough... will obviously need to add more compost, etc. But are there any issues with planting carrots in the same box after the potatoes are harvested?

I don't know about carrots, but I planted spinach on top of the straw/MM mash left after potatos and got a winter crop. Added about a quart of 5 blend compost before planting.

Just avoid the tomato family, like cukes, eggplant, tomatoes, turnip, pumpkins and squashes. Everything else will do well after potatoes.
