Hello from Winnipeg
Hello all,
I am having a blast reading some of the topics and replies in the various forums. Helps pass the time until we can get outside for a decent amount of time. I'm not a huge hockey fan, but, it is great having the Jets back in the city. The pic is the amt of snow we received last season, this year the snow cover is negligible in many areas, might make for a really dry year. Anyway, that's enough for now, have to check on my indoor crop of veggies.

Welcome Craig1! I am just a bit south of you in the far NE corner of South Dakota. We are also having very little snow, but still cold enough to remind us not to plant tomatoes!

Nice to meet you. Sounds like you are already busy with your indoor veggies. Are they seedlings for transplanting, whenever the snow does melt, or are you winter gardening indoors?
Have you SFG before, or have you read ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING? We want to hear how your garden is growing, even indoors.
Keep us posted on your progress, and again, Welcome!

indoor gardening and more
Hello FBmom, Goosegirl, Eatyourveg.
The indoor veggies are a couple of California Wonder, one Red Carribean and a Jalapeno pepper salvaged from the fall. I had a lesson in being absolutely meticulous in checking for freeloaders before bringing in the plants. I learned alot about clearing infestations though. I have just started from seed: 2 silvery fir tomatoes, a banana pepper, baby star lettuce and cherry belle radishes recently, as I didn't want to risk a bug infection on my new plants. The spring transplants will be started later.
I just read ANSFG from the library and checked out your site and forum. I am looking forward to building a SFG in the spring as my container collection is starting to become unwieldy, as I do not have an in ground garden at all. ANSFG was just what I needed to expand my hobby.
Come on spring!
