Don't give up!
So last spring I tried planting three collard green plants in those transplant pods. Transplanted them into a container while my big SFG bed was being built, then finally put them in my bed. They were sorry looking seedlings, caterpillar eaten and I never thought they would survive, but planted them anyway. Fast forward to now, they are HUGE, healthy, and tasty. Don't give up on those poor plants, it's always worth a shot!
The three "leafy" seedlings in the middle are the collards. (The right was a cucumber and the tall sprouting ones are leeks)
Here they are transplanted into bed, far left, second square up:

Any time I get discouraged at the slow growth of any of my plants I just try to remember those collards and have hope lol!
