Anyone know how to grow Mega Cabbage?
Apparently, the Mega Cabbage can grow up to 3 feet and weight up to 40 lbs. I'm not sure how to grow it--does it need more than 6 inches of soil? Do I need a tall box like for carrots and potatoes?

I don't know about the soil depth but you're gonna need a 20 gallon crock to make all that sauerkraut.

How to grow huge cabbage: Easy, move to Alaska's Matanuska Valley, where they grow record-breaking vegetables.

1. You gotta have the right seed.
I saw a giant pumpkin TV show. Folks were babying those suckers. Vacuum cleaners, drip irrigation, fans, sun screens, fertilizer, etc. As with anything, if you want to be the biggest or best, you've got to go above and beyond.

Something about cooler, longer days make huge cabbage.
What’s the old joke about the Texan bragging to his Alaskan friend? Something about sending a photo of a giant Texas watermelon and bragging about the size of his cucumbers.....So the Alaskan friend sends back a comment that she just cannot compete with that but, oh, by the way look at the brussels sprouts she can grow with a picture of the giant cabbage she grew.......maybe you have to be there.

Actually, it gets quite warm in summers north of Anchorage. That and 24 hours of sunlight really gets the produce growing.....if you can keep the moose out of 'em. My cousin in Fairbanks says moose are even harder to exclude from the garden than our resident elk.

Well growing cabbage in a big size will be a nice experiment. I have not don it before but as well as i think the excess of food and fertilizers will do the trick here.
