Re: Prosperity for Posterity...
Welcome to the forum! We always recommend reading the ALL NEW SFG book, copyright 2006. That is the starting place for learning all about the new SFG.
Are you a beginning gardener, or an old hand at it? Either way, we look forward to your contributions.

I'll read the book as soon as I find it! I'm planning for my 4th year and getting in deeper all the time. It's great to have someone reply so quickly.

Welcome to the forum. You'll find the people here are a great compliment to the book.
I see you are in Chicagoland? Feel free to stop in the Midwest Region once you get settled in. We all kind of bounce around from subforum to subforum around here, but you will find more specific info in there when regarding your particular climate. We have a pretty decent contingent from the Windy City. I would be interested in learning how Chicago differs from north side to south side, if at all. I would think the lake has a lot to do with microclimates up there.
You say 4th year? 4th year gardening, or using the SFG concept? Just curious. Not a big deal either way. Glad to have you here.

Welcome, Windsor!
I'm a Chicago native (Old West Side...Taylor & Aberdeen) and would almost consider mortgaging my house, if I could get seeds or a plant for the real Melrose pepper. I've read that Caputo's deli carries both, but since I'm in NM that doesn't do me a whole lot of good.
Do you grow them?
