Remember to concentrate..
...when pulling your weeds.
I just went into autopilot outside and started pulling everything "tall" among my sprouts. OOPS....I think that one was my broccoli plant! Yup. Just put him right back in the ground and hope he makes it.

Yes weeds can sneak into a SFG. We’ve had a few each year and I think wind and birds carried the seeds into the boxes. Also, in our case, we got quite a few this spring when we moved our boxes from what was the back yard to what is now the backyard. In trying to be sure that I got as much of the MM as possible I picked up a little of the surrounding yard soil as well. The weeds really thrive in it!

I have two inch 7 inch trellis squares that became 14 inch rectangles due to my first time zealous efforts to scissor cut tomato suckers..couldn't believe I did it

BBG, grab your left ear with your right hand, and grab your right ear with your left hand, and on the count of three, pull real hard to try to remove your head...

Well, I have weeds in the newly refreshed and planted squares. The weeds are from the compost.
Or, were you referring to the cannibus plants I have a couple of squares devoted to? I promise they are for medicinal purposes only.... That stuff affects my concentration, too, you know.

Well, I figured with my conversion to MM, I could finally start my own business. Just trying to give back to the neighborhood...

Re: Remember to concentrate..
I totally have done this... Pulled something I had been babying for weeks.
And my homemade compost has always had something sprouting in it. Last year my best tomato plant was a "volunteer" (as grandma called them).

I got mine early, but just today I realized that most of my compost "weeds" were, in fact, tomato plants. Lots of them.
