my SFG has eyes
I planted these in the SFG TT, and it has lots of eyes!
It is a eyeball plant or also called toothache plant, real name Spilanthes.
The flowers look like eyeballs.
My dad had a toothache and my mom gave him a leaf off the plant and had him chew it, it stopped the pain until he could get to the dentist.
I looked it up and this is what it said about how it stops the toothache pain:
The leaves and flower heads of this plant contain spilanthol, an active component that imparts analgesic property to these plant parts. Thus, simply chewing the leaf or flower provides a numbing effect and reduces toothache.

I keep tellin' ya...take pictures of those things in the right perspective along with a tomato hornworm, and you'll have a heck of a start on a 'B' movie sci-fi flick!

Cool plant! Just curious, do the 'eyes' also work as a natural defense from predators/pests?

Oh how cool looking!! Love the eye looking plant. Can I ask you to save me a few seeds. I can send you a envelope with postage on it.
