Sorry if I am Bugging You . . . but is this a BUG?
I thought these were weed seeds but they are everywhere (and I can't find the weed it came from) on everything and since I keep finding all kinds of pests I thought this might be one too.
If so what's it's name? How do I get rid of it?
TIA,
kurango

Mind you, I am on the other side of the continent, but that looks to me like milkweed silk, less the seed.

Looks kinda like a cottonwood tree seed, but our "season" for cottonwood "snow" is around May each year.

I looked up both and I really don't think it is either, so I went out in the yard and found 3 more.
I am just going nuts with all the different pests in my garden!!!!!

Thats a seed to a "milk weed" or thistle plant. We get them here in Mississippi they blow for miles...as a kid growing up in california (40 yrs there) we saw those and would get them and make a wish on them a blow them along.

If it helps any, I really don't think it's a bug. It looks more like a seed of some sort.

+1 We used to love chasing those things down and catching them to make a wish when I was a kid in CA.
