I went to the community garden today and while checking one of the eggplants I saw that there were these orange little things that looked like worms on the back of the leaves, along with 3 Colorado potato beetles. I killed the beetles and squashed the orange thingies.
So now I'm home trying to figure out what those were. I googled "little orange worms on the back of eggplant leaves" and I found a post that says they are ladybug eggs!
I FREAKED out pale . I've seen ladybugs in garden so I thought I killed the poor things.
Lo and behold, I finally read the end of the post, and it has a comparison of both types of eggs. The CPBs' are more orangy and the ladybug ones are more yellowish.
Given that these were really orange and there were 3 CPBs on the plant, I feel much better now I thought I killed the ladybugs! 88662 . The post has a good comparison picture.
