Alpine Strawberries
Anyone out there have experience with growing alpine strawberries in their SFG? Can they be placed 4 per foot like hybrids? Probably should have asked first, I just splurged on 12 plants that are shipping in two weeks I got the variety that does not put out runners.

Re: Alpine Strawberries
I have some seeds started, so I have no experience with grown up plants, but according to Renee's garden, they do not send out runners, as you say, and grow about a foot across.
I will be interested to hear what others have to say.
