worm castings in MM

I have seven other composts beside the worm castings to put in my MM. With that much variety would it be ok to not mix the castings in the MM but sprinkle them across the top as if it were a side dressing. That would let the good stuff slowly wash down from the top rather than sink from deeper if mixed. I only have a bit over one cu ft of castings for about 100 sq ft of surface.

I use worm castings with every planting. I use my trowel and mix about a half a cupful into each new planting so it is worked a few inches into the mix. That might be a better option than sprinkling on the top. That way, you are guaranteed for the roots to find it. Certainly use it though, it is often referred to as "black gold", much like your own compost.

Westie, sure, you can even hold off on topdressing with the wormcasting and add it by the handful later in the season, where ever you think you need a little boost. Very Happy
