Calling All Cincinnati-area SFG'ers!
Hey Neighbors!
Now that we've gotten past Opening Day (Congrats to Dusty & the Reds!) maybe Mother Nature will decide that it's spring not winter, so we can get outside and enjoy our SFGs!
I'm MasonGarden (aka Renee who lives in Mason, OH), and to kick off the season, a few of us plan to connect at the "thinkGREEN Earth Day Event" at Marvin's Organic Garden center up in Lebanon on April 23rd. Apparently it's a worthwhile and well-attended event, so the thought is to meet there at 12:00 noon to enjoy easy parking and pickin's (organic foods and products, plants, seeds, worm castings, LOL!) before it gets too crowded. It's also home to "ZooDoo" the largest collaboration between a zoo and local garden center in the country!
If you're interested in joining us, let us know and we'll look for you there. Maybe someone could come up with a way for us to easily identify one another since we've not met face-to-face! Any ideas?
Here is additional information from the Marvin's Organic Garden website (www.marvinsorganicgardens.com):
4th Annual thinkGREEN Earth Day Event
Saturday, April 23rd • Noon - 6pm
A fun and exciting family event featuring green vendors that are all dedicated to providing information, products and services that can help you live a greener lifestyle! Everything from home and garden ideas, organic food, transportation options, and so much more. thinkGREEN offers many simple ways of going green and helping our environment!
Hope to see you there!

What an awesome idea! Thanks so much for sharing this. I hope you have an incredible turnout of SFG'ers. I would love to see pics of the event for reference and/or hear how it went. Thanks again, Renee.

Maybe everyone where a sticker saying SFG'er and your name on this forum. Might also convert some newbies when they ask what is SFG.
Way to far for me to go but it sounds like fun.

Count me in on this! I'm trying to brain storm some sort of ID but the only thing that pops in my head is make a name tag out of an empty seed packet. I'm mean , who else is going to walking around with seed packet taped to their shirt/coat. Username of coarse. LOL
maybe also , everyone wear a solid color shirt. NOT GREEN! LOL
Just a thought!
Kim .

haha! I'm in! Yeah, I guess ordering SFG shirts would just make us blend into the green crowd, huh?
It would prob work best just to pm each other our cell numbers and we can text/call when we arrive.

I'm back!
BBG - Pictures, no problem! I love pics too!
Lindacol - Hey if you're in the area, drop in!
Nancy/Kim/GG - Short of all agreeing to wear some atypical color (like orange!), I'll send PM's and give you my cell phone number so you can call when you arrive.
