Boy, do I have a lot to learn. Are green worms bad in a garden? At this point, I don't know who the good guys and the bad guys are.

Do they move like an inchworm? Then they are probably cabbage loopers and yes, they are pests. http://insects.about.com/od/insectpests/ig/12-Worst-Veggie-Garden-Pests/Cabbage-Looper.htm

I have been finding them on my shirt after harvesting so I know I've got them too! I did pick a few off of the underside of my eggplant leaves and feed them to our chicks. Swift justice!

Best of luck.
