BT?
This may be a stupid question, but I have see a couple of posts referring to BT when talking about insects. What is BT?

Re: BT?
Bacillus Thuringiensis (Bt) is a bacterium which is selectively toxic to many moth and butterfly larvae (caterpillars).

BT
There are no stupid questions especially when learning. And thanks for asking I didn't know that either.

Re: BT?
Just so you know, there's a variant, BT israeliensis, that is extremely effective in killing mosquito larvae. You don't want to buy it for getting rid of caterpillars, but if you have any standing water, it works like a charm! We use it in water gardens, plant saucers, doggie water buckets, rain barrels -- anything that stays moist enough to breed skeeters. It's sold as "Mosquito Dunks" at Lowe's.
