Question for people in hot dry areas
It goes without saying that Texas is warm but currently it's even warmer than average for this time of year. Any tips on how to prevent sun scald or things that will help battle the heat?
Re: Question for people in hot dry areas
Hello, Mybeth. Have you posted in the Regional Forum? I am in a totally different climate, but I wanted to bump up this post for folks to get another chance to see it and give you some input.

I'm new here but you may want to check out the Southwestern Deserts forum. We deal with hot dry heat on a regular basis out here and should be able to get a bunch of advise from the veteran SFG'ers there.

You can use shade screen. it's sold in garden centers. It reduces the amount of sun per day on the plants. You can use lattice too. Just a few suggestions.

Re: Question for people in hot dry areas
I would think even those lightweight white airy row covers might help? Or even just some cheescloth laid lightly over the plants.
