Creating a Grid for Plastic Box
Hi friends. Out of necessity (I live in a rental and the landlord made me take down my wooden boxes) I have to use elevated pre-fab elevated grow boxes for my SFG. I tried to use duct tape to make my grid, but this didn't last. I would love to hear if anyone has found a good way to make a grid for plastic grow boxes. The type I have is the dark brown faux wicker patio garden box as seen at BJ's and other big box retailers. I have to also work around the two support bars inside the box that keeps the sides from bulging out. Any suggestions?

It might help if you could post a link from BJS (or wherever) to a planter that looks like your's. The ones I'm seeing stand on little legs (or casters). What immediately comes to mind is that you could tie a cord or clothesline around the whole thing to from a grid.

Creating a grid
I use slats from old window blinds or you can purchase from Home Depot/Lowes for about $3 and sometimes Dollar Tree has them for $1. simply cut all the strings between the slats and you'll have an abundance of grid markers. What's nice is you can trim to size with scissors and even around objects inside your box to customize it. They handle the weather great - I've been using mine for about 3 years and no signs of deterioration. I place mine on their side edge and push them into the dirt...honestly the grids just appeal to my OCD I would send a pix but my raised beds are undergoing a remodel to add drip irrigation. Hope that helps!
