Miniature garden project.
“ oh I’m growing old and feeble and I cannot work no more, my rusty hoe and rake I laid to rest “ …. Anyone know those words ? Opening to a great old folk song named Log Cabin in The Lane…
Well I’m about there but I was able to downsize, although my compost piles are still large. I take my chair out to sit when I turn them over. I used to be able to turn them all at one time, however those days are gone forever…here are a few photos of my miniature garden today. A 6 foot long x 2 foot wide x 18 inch deep horse watering trough. 3 layers of weed barrier on bottom with plenty drainage holes.

This year I started off with herbs, however replaced some with a few pepper plants that I immediately pruned back. Notice the growth coming out in small areas. I did that a few years ago and they did very nicely.
I also have 3 five gallon buckets with ( I don’t know ) tomatoes. I saw these three plants at a shop and they were lovely, no indication as to what they are, however I needed them because they we so lovely…

What a lovely attitude, Jimmy Cee! Yes, age catches up with us, and slows us down, but it cannot dampen our love of nature.

Re: Miniature garden project.
Jimmy, I love your mini-SFG. Yes, age does creep up. I no longer compost and have been using E-Z Straw for 2 years now.
Re: Miniature garden project.
Several of you are a older than me and doing WAY MORE than me, so thanks for making me feel lazy...which I am LOL
Jimmy, I really like your new bed. I might steal that idea.
