NEED SOIL! Mahalo and much Aloha, San Diego Style!
NEED SOIL! Mahalo and much Aloha, San Diego Style!
Does anybody know where I can buy or order bags of Mel's Mix?
I live in San Diego. I am recovering from a broken back and would like to take a shortcut from mixing my own soil. I already have boxes and I am returning to SFG after several years' dormancy. Thank you!

Sorry, they used to sell it at Home Depot. I bought some in 2016/17 and haven't seen it since. If you do a search, you'll find lots of links, but they all lead to something else. Sadly, I think pre-mixed Mels' Mix is a thing of the past.@Judy McNutt wrote:Does anybody know where I can buy or order bags of Mel's Mix?

Hi Judy, Commercial Mel's Mix is no longer being made. What are your physical limitations while recovering? Maybe we can come up with some idea to make it easier.

Hi Judy. Welcome from Atlanta, GA! We're always here to help....

Pre-mixed Soil No More
Bummer! Thanks for the reply. I will have to amend when it gets here but I ended up ordering a few bags from Gardener's Supply Company in Vermont!@countrynaturals wrote:Sorry, they used to sell it at Home Depot. Ready-mix soil I bought
Here's what I ended up buying. I will customize and amend-

Looks promising. At least the blended composts are the first ingredient. What are you going to amend it with?
