Hello from Utah
Hey everyone! I'm brand new to gardening and I'm starting out with SFG. I made an 8x4 box 12" high to start this year. Planning to use 4 of the squares for watermelon and cantaloupe and building a trellis on that end for them. I've started various other veggies in the last couple of weeks as well and they have started sprouting! Glad to be hear and I hope to continue to learn and eventually help contribute to the forum!

Hi, Zach!
Welcome from New Hampshire!!!
Glad you found our little forum! What else do you have planned for the rest of those squares? I found that a cattle panel bent over into an arch makes a wonderful trellis for squash types like cantaloupes and watermelons. I'll see if I have any old pictures from when I grew spaghetti squash on one and they hung down like huge watermelons, defying gravity. What were you planning on making your trellis out of?
Again, welcome!

Re: Hello from Utah
Welcome to the forum from Ohio, Zack! Glad to have you here! Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new garden, and how it plants out.
I made some easy trellis for the squash and cucumbers by using sections of old cattle panels, and standing them up along the edge of the raised bed. Just had to drive a couple fence posts into the ground to support them, and they were ready to go. Here's a couple pictures of them in use.

Never plant without a bucket of compost at your side.

Hi Zack, Welcome to the Forum from California.
Have you figured out what you will use for trellising?
