Hello from Rome, Italy
I'm a newbie gardener and new to square foot gardening as well although I've had Mel's book for many years and then lost it when I moved to Italy four years ago. I have a small garden outside my house and have been growing mostly tomatoes and herbs with varying results. Since this year all my summer travel has been suspended because of the international lockdown I am concentrating on the garden again and learning to grow food in the small garden. Got myself a Kindle copy of the book and am now (easter) setting up another bed in the garden and getting started. Looking forward to learn from the others on this forum. I think my climate zone is 9a.

Welcome, Sif! I'm in Redding, CA -- zone 9b -- so I guess that makes us gardening neighbors.
Looking forward to your posts and pics.

Welcome to SFG from Ohio, Sif! Be sure to post some pictures of your new bed as it develops. You'll find a tremendous number of helpful gardeners here to share advice with you.

Hi Sif, I'm in central California, Zone 9A, in what is called a Mediterranean climate. You may want to download ALL NEW Square Foot Gardening, 3rd Edition, as your other book was older and things have changed.
All postings are open to all members, but you may want to browse/join in the No. California subforum as we share the same or similar climate. All https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/f13-northern-california-coastal-valleys
