Sustainable Seed Going Out of Business
Sustainable Seed Liquidation Auction
This was my favorite seed company, but they got hit really hard by last years fires, so they're packing it in. I guess I'm in the market for a new seed company. Baker Creek?

Re: Sustainable Seed Going Out of Business
It is a shame to see them go out of business.
I buy mostly from Baker Creek (https://www.rareseeds.com/), Johnny's Selected Seeds (https://www.johnnyseeds.com/), and Urban Farmer (https://www.ufseeds.com/).
Baker Creek has free shipping on seeds, but sometimes does not have what I want. Johnny's shipping costs are very high, unless they are the only one that has what I need. Urban Farmer is a "local" store, and I enjoy dealing with them.

Baker Creek it is, then. Thanks OG.OhioGardener wrote:It is a shame to see them go out of business.

Re: Sustainable Seed Going Out of Business
I really like BC as well. Good seeds, great customer service!
Looking at the auction... WISH I could go. A grain thresher... grab bags of seed packets...

Re: Sustainable Seed Going Out of Business
I looked at the auction pages. There is a lot of interesting and/or good items. It's always sad when a company goes out of business, especially in the Ag industry (mini-Ag).
Baker Creek has been my go to seed company. I've visited both their Petaluma Seed Bank store and the Missouri operation. They are also a big supporter of the annual International Heirloom Exposition in Napa.

Re: Sustainable Seed Going Out of Business
I am mostly Pinetree (superseeds), or Baker creek. Sad to hear that...
