Re: Hello everyone
Hi, Emily, welcome to the Forum from California! I started SFG in 2013, after I retired.
I recommend that you read "All New Square Foot Gardening", 1st, 2nd or 3rd Edition. It will provide you with all the basics of this gardening method.

Re: Hello everyone
Hi sanderson, I am wondering if you have finished the 3rd Edition o Square Foot Gardening. I thought I had the 1st Edition, so I bought the 2nd Edition and come to find out by comparison the 1st was the first printing of a Revised Edition so except for the Cover which are very similar and a few changes in the photos they are exactly the same with the same number of pages. Now that I have two is there enough new information that would warrant buying the 3rd Edition. I basically used the first Square Foot Gardening as a reference book for seed spacing information on vegetables that I hadn't grown previously in 5 gallon buckets.

Re: Hello everyone
No, I haven't read it yet. Only flipped through it. If you are happy with your current SFG, and have looked at threads about different topics, I have to say that the 1st or 2nd editions are fine. There are some new topics in the 3rd Edition that you may find interesting, though. It is $16.37 on Amazon, which is a good price.
