finding a high liquid nitrogen source
Does anyone know of a liquid nitrogen fertilizer that is high like 12-14. I want to push my ornamental okra and don't want fruit. so far they are working, but want to ensure the growth is achieved.

Urine. Compost tea made with something like bat guano or alfalfa pellets.

Liquid fish emulsion. Try a hydroponics or "cash crop" store if you can't find it at your nursery.

How about actual liquid nitrogen? That was a joke, lol, I couldn't resist. Anyone remember the liquid nitrogen scene from Terminator 2?
Sorry, I totally added absolutely nothing of value to this post, haha.

Call Home Depot first. Mine carries 2 brands of fish emulsion.

the highest nitrogen rating I can find on fish emulsion is 5. I'm looking for 12-14 like feather meal.sanderson wrote:Call Home Depot first. Mine carries 2 brands of fish emulsion.

Feather meal is not instantly available. I thought you were looking for a liquid? Feed a lower number more often??

You are right feather meal is slow release. I am looking for a liquid as high as 12-14, like the solid form of feather meal.sanderson wrote:Feather meal is not instantly available. I thought you were looking for a liquid? Feed a lower number more often??
Feather Meal 12.8-0-0 (50 Lb).

I would think a liquid nitrogen source that high in nitrogen would likely cause nitrogen burn very easily. It might be why it's difficult for you to find. /shrug

I'm with Yolos. Human urine is around 11 and it's FREE!

I'm with Yolos and CapeCoddess. Urine, the 'liquid amber' is full of nitrogen but also various other goodies. Should not be wasted. Mix one pint to two gallons of water. It makes everything grow like crazy. It is delivered ready for use several times a day.
Sterile at point of production. Used fresh very little smell.

Why don't you just get Miracle Grow (or knock-off)?
24-8-16. Foliage feed 1x a week and call it a day...If you're wanting blooms, you can supplement in some phosphates in the same fashion.
If you want to empty your pockets, get this and let me know the results.

I personally use Miracle Grow or similar all the time outside the sfg. It's relatively cheap, easy to use, and best part I can tell my wife or kids to pick some up without a lot of explaining.

I'm going to try the urine. It free. level 11% poured over the mulch. Rooster the coron is something else, 28% in liquid. wow!. Thanks for the suggestion and finding it, But it out my wallet league. I considered the miracle gro in the past but felt the phosphorus might cause it to bloom. once started I may not be able to stop the blooming. so far the okra still growing without blooms.

I found it right here in town.
Gordon's Liquid Lawn & Pasture Fertilizer 20-0-0 with Micronutrients, 2-1/2 gal.
found something better for those 6 okra plants.
Vigoro 32 oz. Ready-to-Spray Concentrate Lawn Fertilizer
