Podding Radishes, Anyone?
I am ordering these from Baker's Creek, wondering if anyone has tried them? Sound wonderful!

I know I remember folks talking about eating the Daikon seed pods, maybe similar? But the plant's primary job is pods, not root!

Yeah, that's what I said. And now, 15 packs later... but most of them free at the library... that doesn't count right?
Sr, I read the comments at the bottom of your link and someone mentioned they can get 20 or so pods from a plant. I can get that from my regular bolted radish plants. Seems to me that using regular seeds for two purposes is better for my needs. If you try these new seeds let us know. They probably go straight to bolting and don't take the time to form roots, there by eliminating some time.

Yes, I will! They were back-ordered, so will probably get them for Fall planting hopefully.CapeCoddess wrote:Yeah, that's what I said. And now, 15 packs later... but most of them free at the library... that doesn't count right?

I knew I was going to have to buy some seeds...this is my first order from Baker's. Also got a freebie, Flashy Oak Lettuce (got hooked, courtesy of someone here!) and I am going to try Japanese Giant Red Mustard Greens....adventure awaits. I assume I can do a Fall crop of the mustard greens?

Haven't tried the Rats Tail Radish, yet, but it's on my garden plan for next year. Looking forward to it!
