4x4 SFG on TREX Composite deck
Hello Everyone,
A New comer from Northern Virginia area posting for the first time. I am going to build a simple plain 4x4 SFG(5/8 " plywood base board) and place directly on top of our TREX Composite deck. I am not going to move around the SFG anytime.
1. Keeping directly on top of the deck should be ok right? Or should i put on top of few cement blocks?
2. Will there be a any issues with water drainage spoiling the deck?
Thanks for your help.

Re: 4x4 SFG on TREX Composite deck
My trex deck is 10 years old. It is not as care free as people like to think. Over time it has developed some small moldy areas that get periodic mild wash and rinse. You could call Trex customer service for current information.
If I put a sfg on the deck I would set it up on bricks maybe, and slightly tilt it and somehow have it drain off the deck. Not sure if keeping bricks on the deck is a good idea either. Think it would hold moisture under the bricks.
