That was excellent, Mr. Booker! Your gardens look fantastic, and so much space! For some reason I always thought Illinois was north like I am, but you're so far along I guess you must be further south.
Thanks for the great tour!

Super Video Mr Booker. I hope my garden does as well as yours. I noticed that you have an upside down 2 liter bottle every now and then. Can you explain that for me. I am trying to be a better waterer and wonder if that is what those are for. Thanks, Rock

Watering system
Yes. The 2 liter bottles are my watering system. I take a piece of PVC pipe and heat it with a heat gun and screw the water bottle into the pvc pipe then cut the bottom out of the 2 liter bottle and fill it with water and stick into the soil next to my plants.bigdogrock wrote:Super Video Mr Booker. Re: A short SFG video.
Thank you for such a quick response. I have ambitions of doing something similar, but your idea seems to be better. What size PVC Pipe do you use, do you cap the lower end of the pipe, how deep does the pipe go into the soil, and do you drill any holes down the length of the pipe?

Re: A short SFG video.
I use 3/4 PVC pipe. When you heat the pvc pipe, you can screw the 2 liter bottle into the pipe and it will make its own threads. Do not cap the end of the pvc pipe and drill holes along the pipe and insert it down to the roots. Only drill holes that goes below the ground level.bigdogrock wrote:Thank you for such a quick response. I have ambitions of doing something similar, but your idea seems to be better.
