Just North of Philadelphia
New to gardening and particularly square foot gardening. This summer was my first attempt at growing food, let alone organic gardening. Planted three 4 x 4 raised beds, two City Pickers containers (Home Depot) and five raised container boxes (Sams Club). Learned about powdery mildew, squash vine borers and overcrowding the city pickers boxes the hard way but had a lot of fun (and delicious meals) in the process. Just purchased three books on Amazon including the all new square foot gardening, mini farming and natural pest and disease control. Looking forward to learning lots here!

Rmanaka, Welcome to the Forum from California! I think you will really, really like the All New Square Foot Gardening book. You already have some raised beds and containers. If you learned about powdery mildew, SVB, and over-crowding this summer, then are well on your way to being a gardener.

Hi Rmanaka. Welcome from Atlanta, GA! We're glad you've joined us.
+1 on Sanderson's comments.
Good to see that you've ordered ANSFG book. That helps tremendously.
There is an archives section on this site that will also help. Got lots of hard-won practical advice!

Yeah, what sanderson said! Sounds like you've already learned a lot and have a nice amount of garden space going.
If you ever get in the mood, show us some pictures! I've always been curious about those City Pickers self-watering containers, and often get tempted to buy one.
